Cocoa is the registered AQHA that started it all when we purchased him back in 2005. Having had horses growing up it was something much missed so the opportunity to buy him brought life back to normal. At first sight we knew we had to have him with his huge brown eyes that seemed to sooth the soul. He was purchased from a young lady heading off to college and forced to part with him. He is a show horse with points in western pleasure. Although we do not show him he still carries himself as a winner and takes his stand as the alpha horse. He is a wonderful well-mannered animal!

Dude is registered AQHA and is one handsome fellow. He is a dazzling grullo with a lover boy personality. We just can not say enough about this fabulous horse, We are so glad he found his way to Solis Occasus Villa. God willing he will be here until the end.

Black Diamond Bandit
Bandit is registered AQHA and is a stunning solid black, save about six white hairs in the middle of his forhead. We bought him as a charity case as a 5 year old. He has scars on his rump from having been abused and deep rooted trust issues. After having been here for quite some time now, he is a well adjusted and happy horse. He has found his forever home! |

Joe is registered AQHA, and came to us through an interesting situation and has proven to be a trail mount extraordinare. We are pleased to have added this lovely equine to our herd. A super horse with kind eyes and a loving demeanor.

Sparky is registered AQHA and a lovely dappled palomino. If you have never met a horse that was a dog in another life form, then meet Sparky. He has the personality of a Lab! Sweet as can be from the minute we got him as a weanling and in your pocket to this day. A true joy to own.

Maggie is registered AQHA and is a beautiful mare. What a treasure we have in this Canadian bred gentle giant. She is eager to please and craves human attention. A wonderful addition to the Villa and we thank Calvin, Nancy and Kayla for allowing her to be a part of our life.

Star is Jocky Club Registered Thoroughbred gelding with a colorful past and an even brighter future. He is a great addition to our herd and we look forward to many years of pleasure with this gentle giant. Special thanks to Dr. Redding and his daughter Caitlyn for allowing him to become a beloved part of the villa.

SUN A Little Moe Ass
| Moe is our mini donkey that we purchased as a weanling. He is now king of the villa. He stays in his fence only by choice and at times prefers to roam the yard. He makes everything around the villa his business. He is a fun to watch as he plays with his jolly ball and cones bringing endless joy to those who have the pleasure of seeing him. He is the best "guard dog" ever as he loudly announces any visitors to the villa. Moe will capture your heart at first sight! |

Lucy Lu

LuLu came to us as a babe as she was not working out with her owners. She is a "mini" potbelly pig (Ha!, Ha!). She is a master of mimicking sounds and will make you think she is at times a cat or bird. She is highly intelligent and loves to have her belly rubbed. She seems to love her life here and we certainly love having her here.

Dahlai Llama Enlightened Buddha
Buddha is our mini llama. He is absolutely gorgeous with his handsome good looks and killer blue eyes. He is a very curious, loving creature. He lives with our fainting goats and his job is to guard them and keep them safe. He is a favorite of the kids as they all seem to cling to him when mom is out of sight. |

Odysseus

Odie was one of nine puppies born to a dumpster dog we rescued. We had no idea when we saved her that she was pregnant due to her emaciated state, but she blessed us with nine beautiful, healthy puppies. We were pleased to find her and eight of the pups good homes. Odie just stuck with us. He is a real fun-loving character!

Strait Cowboy

Cowboy joined the crew for Christmas in 2010. He is a beautiful blue merle, blue-eyed Australian Shepherd. We have big plans for his future as a herding protector, but currently he has big plans to eat, sleep, and PLAY and GROW! Christmas 2011 Update: Cowboy has grown in to a gorgeous dog but is still a little puppy at heart.

Little Gangster AKA Lansky

Lansky joined our family shortly after the loss of Bugsy...our hearts so saddened by his loss have been brightened a bit by the addition of this independent little puppy. What a joy it is to have this bouncy Boston as part of our family. He has some huge footsteps to try & follow, but he is working hard at it and in making his own unique paw prints on our hearts as well.

Little Gangster AKA Bugsy
Bugsy is the heart and soul of everything. He has been in our life since he was a mere four weeks old and has more personality than any animal that we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is the most intelligent, loving and sensitive individual. Our little "sunshine", he brightens every day here!
May our big hearted angel rest in peace...
He fought as long as he could to stay on this earth. He is missed more than words can express. Our hearts are broken and all our love is with Bugsy.
